Schools Beyond Screens

We’re a grassroots coalition of parents and teachers throughout the Los Angeles area, resisting the influence of Big Tech in our public schools.

We're not anti-technology, but the research is clear: excessive screen time is detrimental to learning, exposes kids to inappropriate content, encourages digital distraction and addiction, and infringes on privacy rights.

It's time for LAUSD to listen to the experts and develop a more intentional, science-backed approach to classroom technology.

NOTE: Do NOT sign the new Google Parental Consent form provided by the district, which allows Google to harvest student data and sell it to undisclosed third parties. Withholding consent is your right, and reduces the chance your child will waste class time watching YouTube.
