There is a growing scientific consensus that AI use undermines the learning process, as well as the human relationship between teachers and students. It promotes cheating, and can diminish students' cognition, critical thinking, memory, motivation, persistence, and creativity—perhaps irreversibly. Its use can cause depression, psychosis, and even lead to suicide.
