On April 21st, the Board of LAUSD will vote on “Using Technology with Intention.” This resolution is the result of over a year of sustained pressure from Schools Beyond Screens and other activists. If passed, it will mandate the creation of a district-wide policy governing how (and how much) tech is used in our schools.

Here’s how you can help:

LAUSD teachers are demanding better pay, increased support staff, and more special education resources. UTLA is prepared to strike on 4/14 if an agreement with the district is not reached, and SBS stands with teachers.

If the district can afford $1.9 billion in for-profit tech contracts, it can afford to pay its educators a fair wage.
